Monday, Monday
This morning at 5:40 I walked out into the 20 degree, dark morning. Took myself to spin class and for an hour climbed, sprinted, and sweated to music. Left, got home, showered, went to work. Then got home, ate some dinner and took myself back to the gym. For two hours, I flexed, squatted, jumped, kicked, punched, lifted weights, grunted, and sweated to music.
My thighs are now planning a rebellion or maybe they are planning on moving out. I choose the latter.
2 commentsMy curse
I have a curse. I am not allowed to get a full nights sleep (or take naps). Something always comes along and wakes me up. Whether it is a car door being slammed forcefully outside, one of the dogs jingling in my face, or a text message arriving from a friend (three days late) at 4am.
This morning is an excellent example. At about ten after 6 my cell rang. I answered it and the person hung up. FFS. Well, this awoke my bladder, so I got up. As I get almost to the toilet it rings again. Same damn number. I race back to get it. Pick it up and a meek voice asks “Is Brittany there?” I wanted to yell at them that if she was she would be in bed. Instead I just firmly said “This isn’t her number.” and hung up. Got myself back into bed and got myself back to sleep.
Then what should happen? My husband unit’s cell phone alarm starts to go off about 30 minutes later. *sigh*
I need a night at a quiet hotel.
2 commentsMr. President
My blog will not be as widely read as the numerous blogs and other posts online in regards to our new President Elect. But I must say that regardless of where you stand you must know that we are living history. I, for one, am excited and ready for this new and exciting journey. Change is coming and change is good.

I cut my hair even shorter. Loving it as well. It takes all of 10 seconds to blow dry. Yeah baby.
No commentsHappy Halloween
Hope all of you Boils and Ghouls have spooktacular day! And of course a special shout out to my brother who celebrates his birthday today. Even if getting candy from strangers on his birthday gave him a bloated sense of self worth, gotta love him! Happy Birthday Russell!
2 commentsRejection
Received my first two rejections from literary agents. While it was expected, it does sting a bit. It’s not easy being rejected, even when you’re prepared.
Getting into the publishing industry isn’t something that many just have happen with their first submission. Until then, I’ll cry just a tiny bit because they didn’t want me and then pick that chin up and get over it and get back to it.
1 commentFirst day of filming
Had a brilliant time today filming my first scene for “Something to Be Desired”. It was loads of fun. We were at the ARL (Animal Rescue League) and I worked with a wonderful pit bull named “Claudius” He didn’t have a stutter but he had a heart as big a Nebraska.
My characters name is Amy and I just moved to Pittsburgh. I ask “Glenn” for directions because I have a hard time finding my way around. Not difficult to act.
The episdoe should be on in two weeks www.somethingtobedesired.com
